Tours for the Adventurous

Experience a living Maori village. The villagers have built their homes amongst erupting geysers, boiling mud, steam vents, and hot pools. They use natural geothermal resources to cook, bathe and heat their homes. As you walk amongst the wonders of the Whakarewarewa Valley, our guide explains the history of the village, where the Tuhourangi / Ngati Wahiao tribe has lived for over 200 years. See Pohutu the biggest active geyser in the southern hemisphere erupting up to 100 feet. Amongst this steaming volcanic landscape, generations of villagers have made Whakarewarewa there home. On this tour, you will see NZ’s best surf beach, stunning scenery, kiwifruit orchards, the scenic lakes district, beautiful farmland, native bush, pine plantations & dairy farms. We take a short stroll through the breathtaking, giant, 70 ft high, 120 year old Redwood Forest and wonder at its natural beauty. Testimonials

From the people that know

"Pat was very knowledgeable and had a friendly personality so we all felt very comfortable with him. He picked us up from our ship and brought us back in plenty of time for sailing. We thoroughly enjoyed our day tour including our 90yr old mother who managed to walk around the Maori village with ease. Loved the mud and hot springs and had a delicious kiwi fruit ice cream at the Kiwifruit farm. Thanks very much Pat"
