Our guides hold Passenger Service Licences and the vehicles have been passenger endorsed by the New Zealand Transport Authority. Your tour vehicle is safe, clean, comfortable and has passed stringent Certificate of Fitness inspection by NZ transport Authority. Our professional drivers and tour guides are fully qualified and experienced. In addition,our guides hold a New Zealand first-aid certificate to ensure your safety. You can book your tour in confidence with us.

We adjust the start and end times of the tours to suit the time the ship is in port, which does vary. When you make your booking request we will advise you of any time changes to your ship’s docking schedule.  If the ship subsequently changes its time once your booking has been made, then we will make a new time adjustment and advise you by email.  

In some cases the tour may be affected by adverse weather or road conditions and in these instances alternative destinations and activities of a similar nature will be offered to you. The decision to cancel the tour for safety reasons is at the discretion of Tauranga Cruise And Tour and the cost of your tour will be refunded.

We recommend wearing comfortable, seasonal clothing with walking shoes. Hat, sunglasses and sunscreen are also recommended.

Cancellation at least 14 days prior to departure, 100% refund

Cancellation between 14 and 7 days prior to departure, 25% refund

Cancellation less than 7 days prior to departure no refund

We appreciate your understanding. If we cancel for any reason, or your ship fails to arrive into Tauranga Port you will receive a full refund. We recommend cancellation insurance to protect you against cancellation in the event of illness.

This is entirely up to you. If you think your guide did a good job, then your guide would very much appreciate a tip. Tip whatever you feel is appropriate.

I will meet you 15 minutes prior to the tour departing time at the Port entry/exit gates 5 -10 minutes walk from your ship. I will be waiting there with your name sign.
For cruise ship passengers tour, start times will fit in with ship arrival/departure times. We will advise you of pick up time.

A reminder will be sent 10 days prior to the tour date.
I guarantee to have you back to your waiting ship on time on board well before sailing away.
I have never missed a ship!
For local accommodation pickup, the start time is more flexible.
