Trip Itinerary
After leaving Tauranga Port we explore downtown Mount Maunganui, a popular Kiwi holiday destination and the stunning white sandy surf beach, voted best in New Zealand. As we make our way to Rotorua we drive through the lush farmland, see grazing dairy cows, kiwifruit orchards, native bush, pine plantations, the scenic lakes district before arriving at Skyline Gondolas
This is your opportunity to show your skills on the luge ride. Select from the different rides for the newbie’s or the fast rider. No experience required fun for all ages from 8 to 80. Then ride back to the top on the chair lift and do it all again! Fun filled excitement for all ages. For the more adventurous check out the Mountain Bike trails, Zoom Zipline & Skyswing. It’s your day, do it your way. We stop for lunch at the Stratosfare Restaurant & Cafe , relax and enjoy the atmosphere of the panoramic lake views and beyond.
We are greeted with a traditional Maori welcome followed by the awesome Maori cultural group as they perform their traditional dances and the fearsome haka. See the elusive nocturnal Kiwi bird, pre-European Maori village, wood carving, and flax weaving. An awesome two hours and a surreal volcanic wonderland experience. Your tour guide will walk you through this amazing park.
We explore Rotorua’s lakefront, best highlights, govt gardens and historical architectural gem the Elizabethan Spa Bath House, before returning to Tauranga Port.
