On this tour you will see Mount Maunganui surf beach, voted NZ’s best, pass through kiwifruit orchards, the lakes district, beautiful farmland, native bush and pine forest plantations. New Zealand hinterland at its best
We are greeted with a traditional Maori welcome followed by the awesome Maori cultural group as they perform their traditional dances and the fearsome haka. See the elusive nocturnal Kiwi bird, pre-European Maori village, wood carving, and flax weaving. An awesome two hours and a surreal volcanic wonderland experience. Your tour guide will walk you through this amazing park.
After lunch we arrive at The Polynesian Mineral Spa Pools for 1 hr of wonderful relaxation. Rejuvenate your mind & your body as you soak yourself in these therapeutic mineral hot pools. The Spa’s geothermal hot mineral waters are sourced from two natural springs and feed into 28 hot mineral pools. The slightly acidic Priest Spring waters relieve tired muscles, aches and pains while the alkaline waters of the Rachel Spring nourish the skin.
We explore Rotorua’s lakefront and highlights. Admire the beautiful pristine Government Gardens and historical architectural gem the Elizabethan Spa Bath House. We return to the Port via the old scenic Rotorua to Tauranga highway on time on board your ship well before the sailing hour. A wonderful tour and great memories of New Zealand holiday.
